We love these guys! The guys at Sundown Solar designed and installed the solar power system. It’s one of our favorite things about our chicken mansion.

Awesome experience! They were incredibly transparent with pricing and design. They have always been super patient and flexible with us. They took the time to explain everything throughout the process. They continue to insure everything met and/or exceeded our expectation. We HIGHLY recommend! Cannot say enough nice things about these guys.

Texas Metal Tanks

Tuff Shed Home Depot

This was the first portion of our henhouse project. Tuff Shed helped us design and build the shell for our office space, raised bed roost, and laying/nesting areas. We went through our local Home Depot and the area’s Tuff Shed rep. Everyone along the way has been great.

LawnMaster Home Depot

Our next addition to the henhouse was this 500 SF cedar shade pavilion. It’s important to us that our chickens have refuge from the hot Texas sun. This pavilion from LawnMaster was easy to order. Their expert installers had this pavilion up in two days.

We couldn’t be happier with the results.

Hill Country Animal League

These folks are the home team. They are a nonprofit organization offering affordable spay and neuter surgeries and pet wellness services for dogs and cats in Boerne. The also have an awesome thrift store supporting their mission.

HCAL has offered its support to us since our very first year of operation. They’ve welcomed us to participate in their annual Barktoberfest held at the Boerne Main Plaza. This free, family-friendly event celebrates the community’s love for pets while supporting their mission to provide affordable spay/neuter surgeries and wellness care in the Greater Texas Hill Country area.

Homegrown Texas handcrafted metal tanks since the 1930’s. When we chose to add a rainwater collection system to our coop, we knew there was no one else to contact. Helpful, friendly, and attentive throughout the process; we cannot wait for our tank to come on line.

We collect rainwater from our main office and covered pavilion. The water is used for drinking water for our chickens and irrigation of surrounding plant life.

We compost wastes from our girls.

Coming soon - we’ll include Black Soldier Fly composting to upcycle our organic waste materials.
