What we feed our girls

We like for our girls to have the best. We start with a protein-rich, high calcium organic feed to help our hens produce strong, healthy eggs. We prefer Nature’s Best Organic Egg Layer Pellets.

BUT, we don’t stop there. We grow our own microgreens. We offer our hens freshly grown clover and alfalfa daily. Our greens are grown hydroponically with local filtered well water and no added chemicals. Greens are fed to our hens after 5 days of growth.

For treats, we serve dried meal worms daily. Tasty and high in protein, our gals love ‘em.

And, of course, we offer filtered, local well water ad lib and calcium granule supplements.
